Our New Hospital is Just the Beginning

Our community worked together to help bring a new hospital to Markdale, raising more than $15 million in support of the hospital that opened its doors in 2023. While this was a tremendous achievement, our work is not yet finished.

In Ontario, the Ministry of Health funds the day-to-day operation of hospitals. However, many essential items such as medical equipment, technology, and major upgrades are supported through community fundraising.

The new hospital is open because of our community’s generosity, and continued support helps ensure the care inside its walls remains strong, modern, and close to home.
